Our Accredited Practicing Dietitian provides assessment, intervention and education to individuals who may not be meeting their nutritional needs due to a number of conditions, including but not limited to:

- Acquired Brain Injury (such as stroke)

- Neurodegenerative Conditions (such as Dementia, Parkinson's & Motor Neurone Disease)

- Cancer 

- Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Side Effects (current and post)

- Gastrointestinal Disorders (such as GORD, IBD, IBS and Coeliac Disease)

- Allergies and Intolerances 

- Disability resulting in Tube Dependent Feeding

Enteral Nutrition Support


- Management of enteral nutrition (including PEG, NGT, PEJ, NJT)

- Enteral feeding plans

- Tube care

- Ordering of necessary equipment and supplies

Dysphagia Support

- Ensuring modified texture diets are meeting client nutritional needs (macro nutrients and micro nutrients)

- Strategies to ensure clients on modified fluids are meeting their hydration requirements

Oral Nutrition Support


- Diagnosis and treatment of malnutrition

- Accessing oral nutrition supplements if required

Optimal oral intake in brain injury & neurodegenerative conditions

 Education

- Learning about nutrition for brain health and general wellbeing

- Grocery shopping made easy and reading nutritional labels 

- Developing a menu or meal plan that meets your needs

- Training of support workers and/or family members

Allergies & Intolerances

- Identifying food allergies and intolerances

- Eliminating food allergens and irritants from diet while maintaining adequate nutrition

- Low FODMAP, gluten free and lactose free diets as well as other special dietary needs
